Fajr time today
Fajr, the dawn prayer, begins at true dawn, when light first spreads across the horizon, and its time ends at sunrise.
Why Fajr times vary
Dawn has no sharp edge, so calculation methods set it at a chosen sun angle below the horizon. A 15° angle (ISNA) gives a later Fajr than 18° (Muslim World League), often by 15 to 30 minutes in North America. That gap is the most common reason two timetables disagree.
For fasting, this is also the time eating must stop. Many people finish a few minutes early to leave a margin.
